The Skip a Step Express Consignment program was created with busy moms who want to clean out their closets and make money for next season’s clothes but don’t have time to prepare and tag items in mind. This is also a great way to try seasonal consignment for the first time.
Skip a Step consignors still get early shopping privileges to get a first look at the best deals with half the work! You will be emailed prior to the event with your special invitation to the Pre-Sale.
Spots are limited so act fast to reserve your spot!
Please review the following guidelines for Skip a Step Express Consignment and then follow the greatly reduced Skip A Step “Simple Steps to Seasonal Consignment".
The simple rule of thumb: is this something I would buy in the condition it is in? Hopscotch does not specifically limit name brands for children’s clothes and items, but they must be in current style and season and must be clean, with no stains, rips or pilling. Please remember many children have allergies to pet hair, mold, and smoke. Clothing should be cleaned and presented with this in mind. All toys and accessories must be clean and include all required parts in working condition. Toys requiring batteries must include a fresh set. For a list of acceptable items, take a glance at the acceptable items tab.
If you have large items, such as furniture or highchairs, you may be required to bring those during one of the scheduled drop off days at the designated location. Please let us know about these items when you register.
Remember, not all items are suitable for consignment and not all items (even your favorites) survive your children. Memories don’t sell but quality, gently used items do if you follow these simple steps.
Hopscotch takes care of preparing, entering, and storing your items until the sale, but we need a little help from you first. Items must be placed in garbage bags labeled with your consignor number and last name. If you have toys that contain small parts, please place these together to ensure that your items are bundled and sold correctly. Hopscotch cannot guarantee your items if they are brought in unsecured boxes or labeled with your consignor ID.

Hopscotch will bring all items that have been prepared through the Skip a Step program outlined above. If you have any large items, you may be required to drop those off during one of the scheduled drop off days.
Now the fun really starts... you will be able to shop like any other consignor at our Pre-Sale Event on Wednesday, before the sale opens to the public. Your name will be added to a list of VIPs at the door. If you volunteer to work just 2 two-hour shifts, you can bring a friend to shop with you (a "plus one" will be added to your name on our VIP list). If you are the winner of one of our contests, you may receive additional invitations for family and friends. For our Pre-Sale events, arrive early and bring a shopping bag or laundry basket to collect your treasures. Unfortunately, no diaper bags, backpacks or large purses will be permitted into the sale. Only strollers with empty baskets will be permitted. Cash and credit cards are accepted, no checks please. Enjoy having a first look at all the great deals!
Throughout the sale, you can track your earnings by accessing your consignor portal Totals will be updated as soon as possible each evening. Immediately after our ½ price sale ends, volunteers will begin sorting all items which are not indicated for donation. All others will be gathered and provided to a very worthy cause. On Sunday, following the conclusion of the sale, from 2:00-4:00 consignors can collect unsold items from which are sorted according to the grouping assigned to each consignor. Any items not picked on that by 4:01 will be donated to a local charity and cannot be retrieved. If you choose to pick up and your items, you must do so by 4:01 pm or you will be charged a $30 fee to offset the cost of transporting your item to charity.
And finally, GET PAID! Checks will be emailed within one week of the sale ending. Lost checks can be reissued after the 90-day void date. Any check not cashed within 90 days will be void and will not be reissued.

First, you will need to make sure you are registered as a consignor, registered for the upcoming sale and have a consignor number. Once you have completed those steps, please fill out the registration below.
